Mr. Hiwa Rauf, Chairman

Mr. Hiwa Rauf is a well-known entrepreneur in Iraq. He graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1979 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, upon graduation he worked in the construction industry for over 15 years.

Since the late 1990s Mr. Rauf has been involved with the fast developing telecoms industry in the Kurdistan Region and wider Iraq, he holds interests in both the mobile telecoms sector and Wireless Internet Service amongst others.

In 2012 Mr. Rauf founded Hiwa Rauf for Investment and Development (HRID) with the aim of nurturing a diverse range of building projects that would improve and set new standards in the country.
